The Minish List

The Minish List

The Minish list is a list of items that I want. Typically, they are items I don't want to pay for, or at least not pay full price for. Sometimes, they don't exist and I'm hoping they will.

  • Heads Up display
One like they use in the linked picture that I could plug into a laptop would be nice, but I don't think that technology is actually here yet. I recall them having it in the movie Hackers, but can't find an image at the moment. Google Glass has come out since I first wrote this, and it seems like it's close to the concept, but I want the sort of thing that lets me look around as if I was inside Tony Stark's helmet.

  • Dremel
Those few 'craft' style things would work better with a Dremel style tool. I really don't think I have the range of use for one that an actual handy person would, but it looks really useful to me.

  • Living Room TV
I want to replace the living room TV with one that is larger than 60 inches, 4K HD, and 3D.

  • Solar Panels and/or Wind Turbines
I'm all for going green, but this is really something I want so I spend less/nothing on electricity. The idea of it continuing to run during a blackout or apocalypse is also nice.

  • Monitors
I have three monitors on my laptop. I would like bigger, better ones. I would love one that could replace my docking station, and then daisy chain to the other monitors as well. At least 4k and at least 21 inches. Getting monitors that stacked or formed a grid would also be helpful.

  • VESA Stands
At least three TVs and monitors are lacking the right stand.

  • Docking Station
Failing the monitor with USB hub and a Gigabit LAN port, I'd like a docking station that had that built in. Additionally, it should support a minimum of two, but preferably three or more monitors. Audio options aren't as important to me, but Linux compatibility is. I would also need at least four USB ports, 3.0 preferred.

  • Wireless cameras
Cameras that I can use to look out the front door, or at the dog running around the house while we are out, or from the dog's collar, but can't be seen by anyone else across the internet. One that replaces a light bulb at the front door would be neat.

  • USB-C or Wireless Charging Cradles
The dollar store had a USB-C cradle, but with the ring on the back of my phone, it doesn't fit my phone anymore. I had a Wireless Charger that fit my phone, but the ring was bad for that, too. With the "pinch" design, they should have charing cradles that fit, and are at least 10w, and I want those.

  • Cash
    More money is always nice.
